Samaritan House was created in 2012 as a community-driven response to the growing problem of homelessness in Geelong, the largest regional city in the State of Victoria, Australia. Faced by a severe shortage of short term crisis accommodation, a group of concerned Geelong citizens came together to do something about it.
More than a decade on, Samaritan House still stands by their vision to both provide crisis accommodation and work alongside guests to transition to a better and stable future.
C6 Group has come onboard with their latest project to provide low cost temporary housing for people in need. Their donation to Samaritan House Project 2021 has been through donating time and trades, to supply and install all of the HVAC equipment at completely no cost to the organisation.
A huge congratulations to all of the businesses who have contributed to Samaritan House Geelong for this project, and hats off to the students from the School of Architecture and Built Environment, Deakin University.
C6 Group are proud to be an active supporter and supplier to Samaritan House. This project aligns with our core value to "leave it better than we found it", and we are delighted to contribute to the sadly growing problem of homelessness in our community.
